Key Differences Between ACE and NTUC Travel Insurance
Overseas Hospital Income
- ACE - Pays $200 per 24 hours confinement in a hospital overseas; up to $20,000 for Essential Plan, $40,000 for Supreme and $40,000 for Ultimate Plan (Benefits 10).
- NTUC - Pays S$100 (up to $5,000 for Classic) and $200 (up to $10,000 for Deluxe) of hospital confinement up to 50 days (Benefits 7).
Traditional Chinese Medicine Expenses
- ACE - Covers treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine expenses due to bodily injury or sickness; up to $750 whilst Overseas and up to $750 in Singapore (Benefits 5 & 13).
- NTUC – Reimburse up to $300 for treatment (whether in Singapore or Overseas) by a Chinese Physician or Chiropractor for injury or sickness substained whilst Overseas (Benefits 4).
Automatic Policy Extension
- ACE - In the event that the Insured Person’s being Confined in a Hospital Overseas, the Period of Insurance shall be automatically extended for up to thirty (30) days without additional premium (Benefits 45).
- NTUC – NTUC travel insurance will automatically extend the Period of Insurance without any additional premium for a maximum of up to 14 days in the event that you are hospitalised or quarantined Overseas as advised by a Medical Practitioner (General Conditions 1.1).
Home Contents Cover
- ACE - Cover loss or damage of home content whilst the Insured is on a journey, including riots, fire, bursting or overflowing of water tanks/pipes or washing machine (Benefits 39).
- NTUC – Cover loss or damage of home content whilst the Insured is on a journey caused by fire. (Benefits 23).
Child/Children’s Definition
- ACE - Unmarried, unemployed and aged between 45 days to 18 years or 23 years old if studying full-time in a recognized tertiary institution (Part 2 Eligibility).
- NTUC - Child or children means children who are from age 30 days to below 21 years (Part V Definitions).
General Conditions/Exclusions
- ACE - ACE travel insurance provides Worldwide Cover with NO countries exclusions.
- NTUC – Does NOT cover claims for loss or liability directly or indirectly caused by or arising from:
